Witness Lee opens up practical lessons regarding the problem caused by the ministry of the Apollos (Acts 18:23-19:20). Although gifted and pious, Apollos lacked a full revelation of God’s up-to-date move at that time. This deficiency is applied to church history and today’s situation. Three previous items recovered in God’s present move today are also highlighted. On today’s Life-study of Acts we explore the damaging mixture that was present in the church in Jerusalem (Acts 19:21-22). Paul purposed to go to Jerusalem and Rome, burdened to help Peter and James to correct the mixed situation that existed there. Join us as we consider what this mixture was regarding and the kind of influence it had on the early church.
Through Paul’s prevailing preaching a great disturbance was stirred up in Ephesus. Satan’s fight against the spreading of the kingdom of God is exposed in this programme. We see an intense spiritual battle stirred up - not by those doing an ordinary, missionary or pastoral work – but through those in the primary focus of Gods move to carry out His economy. (Acts 19:23-20:12)
Today we will look at Acts 20:13-38. Witness Lee opens up Paul’s declaring all the counsel of God during his three years in Ephesus – both publically and from house to house. How the overseers were designated, their role in the churches, and the persecution that Paul suffered due to his unwillingness to compromise the truth of the heavenly vision is also explored.
