Affirming biblical faith in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, our beginning and end, and addressing challenges to that faith, including suffering and evil

Affirming the love, truth and empowerment revealed to us in Jesus Christ and addressing the unique place he is granted in world history by historians and philosophers

Affirming the love of God brought to a point in the womb of Blessed Mary and addressing the philosophical problem of unique events having universal significance

Affirming the Cross of Christ as instrument of breaking the barrier of sin to make us one with God and addressing how it is made effective through faith and baptism

Affirming the resurrection of Christ as central to the Nicene Creed and addressing its historical basis especially the ring of truth about the separate New Testament accounts

Affirming the ascension, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and addressing its implications for raising humanity to share the divine nature and become fellow heirs with Christ.

Affirming hope in the completion of Christ’s earthly work, with the ultimate righting of wrongs on his return, and addressing questions about the need for the last judgment

Affirming God the Holy Spirit whose radiance lightens the mind, warms the heart and energises the will, and addressing issues surrounding the gifts and fruit of the Spirit

Affirming the church as the instrument of God’s praise and service including evangelism and addressing the scandal of her evident disunity
