A video making rounds on the internet captures a memorable moment at an Usher concert, where the singer playfully attempted to have a woman feed him cherries. The woman, identified as artist Laetitia Lacano, respectfully declined, responding, "I'm a child of God."
In a statement following the incident, Lacano explained, “When I was kindly offered a cherry and I replied ‘No, I’m a child of God,’ it was not a statement about anyone else, it was simply a reflection of my own values. My response came from the heart, not from a place of judgment.”

She further clarified, “My decision to decline wasn’t about shyness or seeking attention. I wasn’t trying to make a statement to the world; I was simply choosing to stay true to myself. Supporting an artist I admire doesn’t mean I have to compromise my personal boundaries for external validation.”
The moment has resonated with many online, sparking discussion about the importance of personal convictions and respecting one’s boundaries, even in high-profile settings.
