Winans, who sings with his sister Cece, spoke with Belinda on Gospel Breakfast about the upcoming show on September 16th, sharing why he chose London to celebrate the big six zero: People say why London and I say why not London theres two places that are my favourites and thats London and thats South Africa and so it was either going to be London or south Africa and it ended it being London. Its been a long time since Ive been to London, Ive created so many great moments with music and friendships over the years
Watch the interview here:
Winans expressed his joy in the interview, saying how they'll be people from all over wanting to see him sing live: Im so excited I dont know what to do with myself. Karen Clarke Sheard, Marvin, Donnie McClurkin and Vashawn Mitchell will be coming to celebrate. Ive been working behind the scenes and have been putting on this spectacular birthday celebration
I dont sing in a lot of places, I stepped away from singing 15 years ago so Ive been behind the scenes writing for various people like Oprah but all behind the scenes, so I have friends here who havent seen me sing so theyve bought tickets! Theres gonna be a lot of people coming.
The artist also revealed what his secret to looking good at 60 was, saying its all down to taking care of his health: I was never this person who woke up early and exercised and worked out but now I am that person and I encourage people every day if you love yourself, take care of yourself. And thats not just what you eat or getting on a bike and walking, its who you hang out with. I dont hang out with people who always complain and drag their feet, one of the things I say is exercise gives me peace and I dont let anyone take away my peace.
Bebe Winans and friends will be at the Dominion Centre in London on September 16th, 2022. For more information and to book your tickets visit: www.glofestinternational.com
