Why you shouldn't always talk to people after church

Post-church catchups are common, with some churches giving a space for their members to sit and chat over coffee and cake however can this be damaging to our spiritual growth? In a recent interview with Madeleine Kerzner for Sing Out Dr Oscar Guobadia shared how sometimes talking to people after you've heard a word from God can make it harder to remember what you've just heard, stating: "when we speak things happen, the bible says by the word of the lord the world was framed...the conversations that we allow in to our space can damage ourselves" to whichMadeleine added: "even on trivial levels, even like chatting after church and you're talking, talking, talking. You can actually throw the whole word away whilst you're talking". Well, that told us! Will you continue to have casual chats after important Sunday words? Let us know in the comments   Watch the full interview below. Catch Madeleine on Sing Out every Sunday from 4pm
