Crystal Palace have made history, lifting their first major trophy after defeating Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley. South London’s club, after heartbreak in two previous finals, finally saw their perseverance rewarded—and Eberechi Eze was at the heart of it, scoring the only goal in the 16th minute.

Beyond the excitement of victory and a place in next season’s Europa League, Eze’s words pointed to a deeper source of strength and gratitude. Reflecting on the moment, he said, “It's special, man. I don't even know what to say. I'm grateful. It is hard to use the right words here. Thank God. Only God can do this.”
