Volney Morgan & New-Ye win MOBO award for Best Gospel Act

The choir beat a number of worthy nominees, including Mali Music, Lurine Cato, S.O and Triple O, to win their first MOBO.

This year marks the their tenth year in the ministry. They are recognised in the gospel world for their dynamic stage presence and remembered for their unified voices, having previously won Choir of The Year at Premier Gospel Awards and performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the 2016 BBC Gospel Proms. 

 

Also on the night, Craig David took home the Best R&B/Soul Act and Drummer, composer and producer Moses Boyd was awarded Best Jazz Act.

Volney Morgan & New Ye have won the award for Best Gospel Act at the 2017 Pre-MOBO Awards.
