Under the law, the people constantly toiled to become righteous through their own efforts. Any blessings they received were conditional and based on their performance; they had to work for God’s approval. Under grace, everything has flipped: because of the finished works of Jesus and our faith in them, we’re no longer working for righteousness but from righteousness. When the world pressures us to fall in with its principles, we must make the effort to agree with the salvation God has given us.

Christmas is a major global event, but most people are unaware of the real reasons why Jesus was born. Millions of people who observe Christmas don’t even believe in Him; however, the significance of His birth goes much deeper than the secular holiday traditions the world has created. In addition to paying the price to save us from our sins, Jesus was born to make us children of God and bring the truth of His favor toward us.
We must never underestimate the power of faith in Jesus Christ. Despite studying God’s Word, many people still struggle with the concept of righteousness; it’s vital to understand, receive, and walk in it. Before we got saved, we had a sinful nature; none of the good deeds we did could change that. After we got born again, God gave us a new, righteous nature; now, despite any sins we commit, He still sees us this way.
