Josh Salmon: Life On Board as a Young Volunteer

Josh Salmon is currently a college student in Idaho pursuing a medical career, but in high school he had a strong desire to help people in need. So, on his 18th birthday, Josh boarded a plane for Senegal to join the reception team on board the Africa Mercy.While on board, Josh quickly became part of the community and felt at home. He learned from the many cultures on board and gained valuable insight from observing various medical departments. In this episode, Josh shares about the work of the reception team, his experience helping out with engineering and how the course of his future was set because of his time volunteering with Mercy Ships.
