Esther, herself, is a great example of somebody thrust by circumstances into a situation of her day and age into a situation where she really didn't have much option. She had to either state who she was, and whom she served, and reach out and become that 'stream of light' into the darkness.
Suffering?
Have you ever met somebody who has lived in a palace, and the husband decided he'd like somebody else, swapped her for a younger model or a more beautiful model, or whatever reason, or whatever case? Have you ever seen that lady who is used to living in a beautiful home, leave, no rights, no recourse, never to see the king's face again. Yes, we can bring this story right down to where we are! Terrible suffering that was going on, and of course, all of us have got counsellors around like Memucan's too.
