With the new year comes the pressure to outperform the previous year – but no one is arguably under more pressure than the “ambitious modern woman”. Today women are go-getters, CEOs, heads of state, activists - but they are also homemakers, mothers, wives. Women have been praised for their ability to multitask, but as we bring this strength to our professional and personal lives, many of us are unconsciously living in survival mode and edging towards burnout!

On this episode, host Tola-Doll Fisher and her guests discuss how we can strike the balance between productivity, and holistic wellness.

Salomé Criddle is an author, businesswoman, motivational speaker and founder of TWIRL (Thriving Women In Real Life) – a women’s movement which focuses on marriage, motherhood, business and leadership. She lives in Essex with her husband Paul and their three sons. Salome's article for Woman Alive is the inspiration for the discussion we're having today. Read it here: https://www.womanalive.co.uk/opinion/finding-rest-as-a-christian-woman-while-building-a-business-and-birthing-a-baby/19305.article and you can connect with Salomé and find out more about her ministry at www.twirlhub.com/ and connect with her on Instagram @twirlmovement

Philippa Strachan is the founder of Still Waters Retreats - creating spaces for women to pause, rest, and reconnect with God. She lives in Jersey, Channel Islands with her husband and two young children. After nearly two decades in banking across multiple countries, a six-month sabbatical helped her rediscover the value of rest! The Great Sexpectation question in this episode is titled ‘My partner is suffering from depression and anxiety, and I feel helpless’

The cost of keeping hope on air is soaring.

Transmission costs are rising, and Premier receives no government funding. To keep broadcasting hope, truth and encouragement across the UK, an essential funding gap of £579,200 must be filled.

From 21st September on Premier Christian Radio, join with other listeners to keep faith-filled content on air - for the paramedic driving home after a difficult shift, for the widow in the quiet moments, and for the new believer seeking answers to life's questions.

If you want to lead the way, you can get in early today.
