Graham Mair commences a new Truth for Today series entitled ‘The Message of the Minor Prophets’ with a survey of the book of Nahum. He introduces this study by explaining God’s attitude towards Nineveh as recounted in the book of Jonah and Nahum’s place in the prophecies towards Israel during Hezekiah’s reign.

Paul Callicott commences a new Truth for Today series entitled ‘Pairs in Peter’. Although the title of his talk is singular, Paul focuses on the idea of each believer being a living stone built up as a spiritual house. Paul’s talk is based on 2:4-5
Graham Mair continues the Truth for Today series ‘Getting the Fundamentals Right’ by looking at each of the three baptisms mentioned in the New Testament: 1. The baptism of John the Baptist. 2. Christian Baptism. 3. Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Brian Donaldson approaches this talk from two different angles. First, what the term “Word” means in all its forms; and second, what it means to receive it. He explains that the Bible is the Word of God in its entirety God’s Word and that God’s Word is found nowhere else. First, he answers the question What is the Overarching Theme? by explaining that the Bible tells us that it is salvation for us and clarifies why it points to the Lord Jesus as the One who provides it.

Jonathan Hughes starts a new Truth for Today series entitled ‘Understanding Bible Structure’ with a talk on ‘Biblical Literacy’. In his talk, Jonathan assumes that all listeners accept the Bible as the absolutely inspired word of God. He discusses the fact that the Bible employs three broad kinds of literature.
David Pulman sequentially considers all the verses of the first chapter of Joel under the headings: Opening Words, v.1 (who Joel was); His Target Audience, vv. 2-3. What Kind of Plague? v. 4. How had the nation responded? v. 5. The invading forces. Joel calls the people to lament, vv.8-14. Further devastation upon the land, vv. 15-20. What about today’s natural disasters? and Is there an answer to these from the Scriptures?
