One-half of the renowned gospel duo Mary Mary, Erica Campbell, recently celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband, music producer Warryn Campbell. “Because why would you not celebrate 25 years of staying together?” Erica told PEOPLE magazine.
The couple renewed their vows this past Saturday, exactly 25 years after their original wedding on May 16, 2001, at the California Worship Centre in San Fernando, California.
Erica wore a beaded wedding gown designed by Nigerian designer Nneka C. Alexander of Brides by Nona. From the instant she put it on, Erica knew the ceremony would be both beautiful and powerful.
A Grammy Award-winning singer and a long-time pioneer in gospel music, Erica has spoken about the dedication required to sustain a marriage, especially while managing parenting and high-profile careers. Reflecting on their journey, she shared advice for other couples: To keep coming home to each other, don’t sleep separately, breathe daily while staying connected, and always “speak from your heart, not your hurt.”
The vow renewal was a grand affair with up to 600 guests in attendance, including Stevie Wonder, Lena Byrd Miles, and PJ Morton. PJ Morton was reportedly a surprise guest arranged by Erica for Warryn. The couple’s recommitment ceremony was considered a true celebration of love, family, commitment, and faith.
Erica described the day as feeling “like the very first time,” but now, she said, “we have 25 years of life and love behind us, along with a huge family that has watched us live it out.”
As Erica puts it, “Why wouldn’t you celebrate being together for a quarter of a century?” We celebrate along with them and wish them many more happy years together!

... unapologetically Christian? It often feels like our voice isn’t allowed in this increasingly secular world — our Christian voice isn’t allowed.
You know, that feeling of wanting to speak up, but being held back by fear of the response?
But your voice is powerful. And Premier is here to empower you.
