We’ve been given tremendous power. The authority that God gave Jesus and Jesus shared with His disciples is the same ability that He, in turn, gave to us. This empowers us to do the same things that He did during His ministry, including healing the sick, casting out unclean spirits, and even raising the dead and walking on water. However, nothing will happen until we “flip the switch” and activate this power by believing it.

As believers, our authority comes from our identity in Jesus Christ. We’re righteous, forgiven, healed, and one with God. It’s imperative that we know who we are; if not, we must renew our minds to our true identity. Operating in our identity as God’s children gives us the same power and ability as Christ holds. Allowing God to change our thinking results in life-changing transformation in us.

Life is more than just what we see and feel with our five senses. We need food and water on the physical level, but we also need God’s grace to sustain our spiritual lives. Jesus, who is grace in human form, provides us with spiritual meat that we can’t earn through our works. He gives it to us without us doing anything to deserve it; this food leads to eternal life and ensures that we’ll never perish.
