How far should you go with your Christmas decorations?

According to the online retailer Very, adults plan to spend over £695 on Christmas preparations this year, with about a third on decorations. Is decorating your house with lights, wreaths, and trinkets just buying into a consumerist Christmas or could it be a chance to share the gospel with a tasteful nativity scene or an inflatable Jesus?
