Last month, the Hereditary Peers Act received Royal Assent, ending the centuries-old practice of inherited seats in the House of Lords. But are the Lords Spiritual next? And does the Church of England still deserve representation in 2026? Esther spoke to Lord Leslie Griffiths, a life peer and Methodist minister, and Andrew Atherstone, Professor of Modern Anglicanism at Wycliffe Hall.
