All Christians desire to have a daily walk by the Spirit for out of it issues the fruit of the Spirit. However, Galatians reveals another kind of spiritual walk – that not only produces the fruit of the Spirit but also accomplishes God’s goal. Religion, culture and tradition represent the highest and most noble attainments of human life. Yet it is these three very positive things that God’s enemy specifically uses to distract people from God and His purpose. Join us for a marvellous unfolding of the Word of God by Witness Lee from the book of Galatians (Gal. 5:25).
Galatians gives us a clear contrast – the wonderful person of Christ is contrasted with the harsh and demanding law of the Old Testament. Surely all Christians love such a Christ – so why then in our living do we embrace the principle of living by law instead of this One who came to replace the law? This is our focus on today’s programme (Gal. 5).
As Christians we can approach the Christian life according to determining to be better and concepts of self-improvement. Another way is by the genuine experience of Christ living His life in us and through us as God’s new creation. Witness Lee expounds this wonderful reality in the context of the two walks presented in Gal. 5:16 and 25.
