Have you ever considered that the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 remarkably provide a prophetic history of the entire future of the church in seven stages? Lee explains the dual significance of these seven letters, and the first letter to the church in Ephesus (Rev. 2:1-7). The fading of the first love towards the Lord, the recovering of eating the tree of life and not losing the testimony are presented and applied to our daily living.

When Satan failed to destroy the church through persecution he subtly changed his strategy. Lee details how the church became married to the world in the first part of the fourth century, requiring faithful ones like Antipas to stand against everything deviating from the testimony of Jesus. Positively, we see the wonderful promise to the over-comers of enjoying Christ as the hidden manna to be transformed into white stone for God’s building.
