This week’s highlight programme is taken from Thursday’s programme. The apostle Paul provides not only the doctrine of justification, but in Romans 4 gives a marvellous living example. On this programme we will see how Abraham believed in God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness (Rom. 4:3). In particular, we see Abraham’s faith was in the God who calls things not being as being, and who gives life to the dead (4:17).

Witness Lee continues to open up the subjective experience of justification in the second programme on this crucial topic (Rom. 4:1-25). Abraham experienced the God of glory appearing and transfusing faith into him – but how does God appear to us today? We will also see how Abraham’s experience of offering up Isaac reveals the real purpose of God’s justification.
What is the result of our being justified by God? Much more then then simply being accepted by God, we see a much more far-reaching view presented in Rom. 5:1-11. Paul’s conclusion on the teaching of justification specifically details six wonderful items and three wonderful Persons that are deeply precious for our experience.
After sections on condemnation and justification, today we begin a new section on sanctification in Romans. What hints does Paul give that there is much more to the Christian life then just outward positional justification and redemption? This programme explores this, before focusing on the gift in Christ which surpasses the heritage received from Adam in Rom. 5:12-21.
