Today we come to the scene in heaven after the opening of the seventh seal, and the trumpeting of the first four trumpets (Rev. 8:1-12). We see how understanding the connection between the three sets of “seven” (seals, trumpets and bowls) greatly help us to understand the prophecies. Finally, Witness Lee explains how the seven trumpets are a direct answer to the prayer of the saints, illustrating a crucial principle - God does not act until His people co-operate with Him through their prayer.

In this programme we look at the “great tribulation” presented in Rev. 8:13-9:11. Lee unfolds the prophecy of the seventy weeks in Daniel 9 and Matthew 24, to ascertain the beginning of the great tribulation. With the sounding of the fifth trumpet, Satan is cast down from heaven and collaborates with the beast coming up from the abyss to damage human beings. Positively, the promise to the church in Philadelphia to be kept out of “the hour of trial” (Rev. 3:10) is fellowshipped.
Witness Lee opens up the sixth trumpet concerning the loosing of the four evil angels to further damage human beings during the great tribulation (Rev. 9:13-20). A clear and detailed exposition of this sequence of events is provided, including the two hundred million horsemen killing the third part of men and the war at Armageddon.
When Christ comes to take possession of the earth at the end of this age, He will not do so as a lowly Lamb but rather as a roaring Lion! Today’s programme is on Rev. 10:1-11, which is an inserted section between the sixth and seventh trumpet. Witness Lee explains the hidden and secret aspect of His coming, and the meaning of the declaration that “the mystery of God is finished” (10:7).
