It was the sermon that brought down a government. Last autumn, Rev Les Isaac gave an address at the annual Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast which resulted in a string of resignations, ultimately resulting in Boris Johnson standing down as Prime Minister. In this episode of The Profile, Sam Hailes meets the Rev Les Isaac who not only gave that sermon but has also founded one of the UK Church's most successful outreach projects. Street Pastors is a simple idea - teams of Christians from all denominations patrolling city streets late at night in order to take care of vulnerable people and be a practical display of Christ's love within the night-time economy. The pair also discuss why Les gets "bored" inside church and how preachers can better connect with their congregations.
