Joseph’s brethren set out to dishonour him and humiliate him. As along as Joseph wore the coat given by their father, it reminded them of the message in the dream, so they stript the coat from him.
Whenever Joseph’s brethren seen him coming near, they began to mock him, for they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh,” Once again in the life of Joseph and in his sufferings we are directed to our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ, who was scorned by those who opposed him in life, at death, and even now.
Joseph’s sufferings point to the Lord Jesus Christ in His sufferings as Christ suffered to save a people from perishing.
The purpose of Juda’s deal was to make profit from Joseph. Judah suggests it is better to sell Joseph and make money from him than to slay him.
Of the brothers to create an individual plan against Joseph, it was Judah, of all the brothers to make the next move.
